ABOUT

For over 40 years, JobSource has been supporting people as they pursue a better life and brighter future for their families. As a partner with WorkOne, JobSource provides critical employment services and training to people of all ages. Beyond this well regarded work, JobSource has grown in its commitment to empowering the people of Madison and Grant counties through a variety of other programs and projects.

As a designated Community Action Program agency and through its 501(c)3 non-profit, JobSource Inc, the organization is now providing access to new homes, cars, talent development and family support to individual and families who are striving to build better lives.

In 2016 JobSource announced that it will be working with property developer BWI to restore the Wigwam complex, a historic gymnasium and former Anderson High School facility. Plans for the facility include health centers, academic programming and talent development for the underserved residents of Madison County and surrounding areas.

A BRIGHTER FUTURE IS CLOSER THAN YOU THINK!

A Letter From Our Executive Director

We love this community. It’s our home. It’s where we raise our kids and earn a living. It’s where we find support and share life with one another. It’s for this reason that it pains us to know that there are too many of our neighbors that struggle with lack of resources and opportunities, often making life very difficult. Many have lost hope in a brighter, better future for themselves. They fall victim to circumstance and lack of opportunity. They are stuck, wanting to change but not able to overcome the barriers to make that a reality.

JobSource’s sole purpose is to provide those individuals the opportunity to make a choice to embark on that journey. We empower them to overcome the barriers to a better life. The path is not always easy and it takes hard work but we are here to support them in the process – partners in their journey to a brighter future.

We believe that when people obtain relevant education it leads to meaningful work. We believe that having a safe place to live and reliable transportation are critical to success. We believe that giving youth the opportunity to explore and learn is the key to creating hope for the future. We believe that all of these things working in concert make for a better community.

I invite you to join us on this mission. Whether you’re a person in need or a community member looking for a place to serve, a brighter future is closer than you think.
